A rectangular cut Ametrine with ~22x12mm, weighting 19.00ct.
The dimensions are 22.03x11.71x9.12mm, and it boats a very good colour zoning with a diagonal colour division.
Ametrines are a natural variety of quartz, and a mix of Citrine and Amethyst and the colour of the zones visible within ametrine are due to differing oxidation states of iron within the crystal.
The only source of ametrine is the Anahi mine in southeastern Bolivia.
The legend tells that a Spanish conquistador discovered the mine in the 1600´s its location was lost and rediscovred in the 1960´s.
